Hi, I'm Grace

Every adventure I've had was made better by the people I met along the way

I was first bitten by the adventure bug in 2017, I decided to solo hike 300 miles of the PCT. I had no real idea what I was in for, and little experience of the skills I would need. Although it is not the entry to adventuring I would recommend, I learnt a lot.

That first trip sparked a whole host of adventures, including two bikepacking trips with women I didn't know but by the end had made adventure buddies for life. Since then, I have wanted a place dedicated to accessible, smaller-scale, non-commercial adventures. Listed clearly and open to those who believe, like me, that adventure is better experienced with others.

In 2023, I became a mother, which has been less of an adventure and more of an extreme study of the effects of sleep deprivation. I didn't think it was possible to miss cold nights in a soggy sleeping bag until now. With my ability to adventure restricted to the range of a baby monitor, I learnt to code and built this website.

If you would like to know more about the PCT and the adventures that followed, you can read my book, Take a Hike, on Kindle or follow me on instagram grace_bovis.
